i have just fitted a new clutch cable and plates but the clutch is still not working right it drives better but the clutch is really easy to pull in and seems to not work?Could it be the clutch springs or the metal plates as these are still old parts???

HAve you adjusted the clutch since installing ? as new cables stretch the most when they r first properly used ??

i have adjusted the clutch at the lever and it makes no difference it feels like the cable is too long but its brand new???

you can also ajust it at the clutch....i think....whip the left hand cover off and there shoule be a screw with a nut around it....loosen off the nut and ajust the screw
