I doubt you'll get 14bhp out of it. As far as I know CB125TDC's aren't restricted in any way, so you're not exactly de restricting it.
I dont know if micron do a pipe for them, the one I had was a motod 2 into 1. From what I remember it actually reduced the midrange.

How do you go on putting it on its centre stand?? From what I can remember it was a right bugger. I've put loads of bikes onto their centre stands but with the 125 you literally had to lift the bike up & kick the stand into place under it!.

From what I remember UK learners were restricted to 125 machine producing 12bhp. I think they had to restrict the 2 strokes as they made more power than that. I do remember racing my mate on his cd125 benly. My 125tdc had a couple more mph, but the benly had better acceleration.

My brother had one, it was older than yours and it certainly made more than 12bhp! more like 15-16 revving so high it sounded like it might pop! Laughing

learners are 15HP, that is what my MZ kicks out (currently the most powerful 4t 125 learner bike) but I believe there was one twin cylinder 4t 125 honda thingy that kicked out 16HP ages ago.

The 14hp thing was sort of a joke Laughing Its pretty quick and revs like mad, pretty sure the output on this is around 15hp. I have the 2-1 micron pipe for it on the doner bike so they definately do one Wink

uh huh, all I know is that it gets to 60 a hell of a lot quicker than a CBR 125 and on a dyno puts the same power out at the wheel as the CBR produces at the crank.

The first CB125s made 16bhp, they were before the 12bhp rule. The ones from during the 12bhp rule made 12 bhp, surprisingly enough.
Then it became the 14.6 bhp rule, which learners seem to see as significant.

I still have one of the last of the 16bhp bikes, which i got new in early 1983. the 12 bhp lerner law allowed dealers to preregister the older faster models (CB125t/RD125) by i think end of 1981 and sell them after the new law came into force.

https://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/d964c63b/02a0/__sr_/8192.jpg?pho2ltDBVj4Y8wD_

it cost £660 and i think the new model was about 800. i decided an extra 5mph top speed was far more important than prolink suspension and lights that actually worked. an extra tooth on the front sprocket gave an extra 5mph top speed but you really had to rev it to get there in lower gears.

had loads of people who see it give me the "hey i had one of those, want to sell it?" but it's going nowhere.

you can still get new CB125 Twins as i have seen some import dealers offering them.
