Depends what tint. The flip down black visor, yes, that's legal, I believe some police forces use them (perhaps thats not true, I don't know)

I have a caberg J1+, great helmet, bought in 2001 and still works great, nothing yet to fall off in the ~25k miles or so I've done.

I assume your talking about the V2, I have one myself and the extra visor does come in handy Thumbs Up (found to be a bit noisy at higher speeds though)

I had one and the helmet is ok if you don't travel a long distance, the helmets are heavy.

the helmets are the dogs naggers. When i commute on the bike it's a 125 mile each way journey, the only gripe i have is the wind noise. The internal visor is great for low suns in the morning, it gives you the edge over other road users. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I had one and did a 4 hour run 260 miles and my neck was killing me, it is good for commuting the sun visor is great. I bought a Shoei more then 3 times the price and i would not go back to caberge.

I've got a Caberg V2 and I thought it was pretty light for a helmet. That might be because my last one weighed shitloads.

I got the V2, cant fault it really as its the only helmet ive had.

Ive never had a stiff neck and seems light than most other lids less than £100.

You can not get a outer tinted visor for it though Sad My main visor has a rather large scratch in it (No idea how it got there... Shocked )

i have a 95cm head. i have a HJC silver/black lid fits like a second skull. only problems i have with it are as follows:

The visor steams up ALL the time and yes i spray it.
The screws holding the visor brackets in place undo themselves and fall out.
It seems to love glare. EVERYTHING shines like the sun off silver in my visor, i almost always ride with it up. i know this is extremely stupid because of flies/other missiles but it seems equally dangerous riding with it down.

I've got a V2, got it for Christmas. I think its really good and love the internal visor. I used to have an Arai and the V2 is much lighter than that. I love the V2 more than the Arai.

Ive got a Justissimo (sorry!). Yes, its fantastic except for the weight and the wind noise. But i dropped my bike on it, so im thinking of getting the non-flip up version (V2) now, because it should be a bit lighter.

OK, the V2 isn't a flip up!!! You must be thinking of the Justissimo

I went from a J+1 to a V2 and i can't fault it. The V2 is SO much lighter than the flip front. I wear glasses so i've found the tinted visor a god send. I know i could just get a normal helmet and tint that visor but i do a lot of night riding and i can't be arsed changing visors over.

I'm on a 125 which does around 65 and i never have problems with wind noise.

The one tip i'd give is to not get the matt black. It has some kind of strange coating on it, and it's started to come off in a few places where i've had stone chips on it.

Yes, it does. My friend has one aswell, he's not very big so his head looks fucking massive in it.

Had a J1, hated it
heavy, wind buffeting, fogging up and not being able to put a fog city inside

Yeah my helmet was the flip up helmet, my girlfriend has a Caberge standard v2 and its not that heavy compared to mine.

Sorry for highjacking this thread, but could owners of caberg helmets please comment on fogging or the lack of? Can fog city or pinlock inserts be fixed, or is the visor coated?
