Our arctic journey

As promised.

We decided on Monday, that we were going out! Where to? Brighton. Why? Because apparently it was too cold.

Firstly, we couldnt just leave straight away, my brother had some damage to his exhaust system that required attention:

Being the budding mechanic we secured the bracket using this clever bodge :

With both bikes good to go, we headed off to the fuel stop where our journey would begin:

We started off round the M25, it wasnt snowing at all but it was cold. Especially for my brother, as he wasnt gifted with heated grips like me

We simply had to stop at Clacket lane services, to thaw out :

But eventually we got to Brighton and got THE MONEY SHOTS

SO as you can see it is easily done, you can ride in the cold, and still have a good day out

i even had time to stop off for a curry on the way back

Nice one mate

I had a ride in the cold today, but it wasn't fun. Just painful I need thicker socks.

My trip was far shorter. On the 27th I rode my motorbike back from Sainsbury's in a small blizzard.

Had stopped snowing, and roads had cleared, so I risked it. Started sleeintg, visor shut could see nothing, visor open stung my eyes. Had it half open half shut, trying to tilt my head forwads to keep the stingy stuff out.

Got my shopping and rode back, it had cleared up, so I went for a burn on the A6 cos the roads were empty.


Then, got to the embankment, and their was a brief, but fierce whiteout. I stayed in second gear, and had to use my cluthc hand to wipe the snow away from my visor to see where I was going.
