HID lights use LESS power than conventional lights, they have a step up voltage for geting the bulb going (much like flouresant tubes)
They will probably run on 35watt each, conventional lights are 55/60 normaly (yours may be higher) i run two 55watt driveing lamps on top of my highbeam, did on my last bike for a year and that has a 20% lower output than the one i'm on now...
So basicly, dont worry about it run them on relays on propperly crimped/soldered/sleved connectors with propperly rated cable and there should be no problems
Let us know how you get on ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

Um, i think its about 10,000 volts! But thats what the little controller box does for you, all you will notice is half second warmup of the bulb..
Its the same technology that streetlamps run on! getting arround the enormous warmup time being one the the reason for their cost at the moment..
The way they work you could be running four HID lights without any problems! (might be a bit pricey though!)
You can run them just like any normal lights and they wont use any more power than normal
You could fit them via a relay, and fit a switch so that the headlights can be turned on and off, would be easy enough. ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |
