Best thing you can do is do a police bikesafe session and join your local IAM. It costs £85 (I think) for a year and you would get top advice from advanced riders. They would probably organise trips out as well as the on road training. Good fun and you get to meet new people.

BIKE SAFE IS NOT ADVANCE TRAINING, try and join a local group instead as mentioned

I guess it depends on what course your intending to do. A lot of advanced training days are simply rideout's with qualified instructors to help you improve on what your doing.

You ride your own bike.

I really can't see why not. After all it's mostly about road sense, not how fast you can go.

but the site needs updating Smile chris pulfrey is a mate and he retired a few months ago.

id recomend one of these before an IAM course, as it puts in the right frame of mind and gives you handy hints.

most bike instructors will know who does IAM, plenty of them will do them also so pop back to your test centre, that way you get someone your already comfortable with and who knows how you ride Smile

Crikey I seem to have rattled your cage? I didn't say it was advanced (or even 'Advance' as you said) training. I said it was a cheap introduction, you can then see if you feel that it worth going for further training. The reason these courses were set up was to decrease accident rates and promote advanced training. I felt it was very helpful...
