Yes i know its silly, just got in, and was pulled by the police for doing 65 in a 30 mph Zone, Road was clear and straight and wasnt wet or icey, just plaint dry road and quite mild!

Just said to me,

"Ease up a bit mate, we've just been doing 65 mph all the way up that road to catch up to you, slow down a bit, your vunrable on the roads especially at this time"

Me

"Sorry mate, must admit was doing excessive speed, just ready for my tea"

Him

" Laughed, and went, just ease up a bit mate, have a good night "

What a let off, and thouroughly nice, not all of them are nob jockeys. Thumbs Up

Consistency of application of the law would be nice, but it will always be rare because it is human beings who apply it. You got off with it today, but on a different day might cause you to be disqualified. Confused

Find a copper in a good mood and they'll probably apply the law leniently. Find a copper in a bad mood and they'll probably come down on you like a pile of bricks given half a chance. All just my uninformed opinion of course.

Its lucky i didnt think it was a boy racer or i would of sped up more.
But i have learnt from it, so i wont be speeding again. Unless it Sunny clear and NSL road, my bike tops out at indicated 85 anyway, so not silly tiple figure speeds.

Did they say you were doing 65, or just they had to do 65 to catch you?

Double the speed limit is an instant ban. I also can't believe you admitted speeding Rolling Eyes and they let you off. Shocked

Jammy sod!

Once again, the abuse of the 125 owners starts...

At least he didn't say he was doing 85 like some bizzare cbr125 owners claim... Shocked

Nar, i dont bullshit like most spotty teenage 125 owners. It does 80 at the very maximum. but roughly 75 mph being honest.

But i was let off, could be sat here with a ban and probably hefty fine , thankfully due to a very nice cop im not Very Happy Thumbs Up

Thats nice to hear that is. I find that usually if you're polite (without arse kissing) then they're pretty reasonable. Mind you, you always get the odd cock, but then the same can be said fo riders eh !!

Theres a dually near me which should be a 40 but is a 30 (i found that out from the copper Neutral, didnt think you could get 30 mph duallies).

Plus on a nsl youd only need 120 mph on the back wheel, very doable (end of second on an R1)

Lol unlucky at getting caught, but lucky at getting let off. I seem to speed through town all the time, its a two stroke thing I think, as soon as you hit the powerband, you don't want to ease off! I've done 80mph in 30's quite a number of times, I know its stupid but you don't realise at the time, and I'm luckily enough not to have been caught doing stupid speeds through town. There doesn't seem to be huge numbers of squad cars partrolling around the main city centre which is good.

There is a road near me that goes from 60 to 30. You can easily go from top speed 165 into it for a bit (like 2-3 seconds) then you have to break heavily to avoid the roundabout. Laughing

On a dually nsl over 140 to join the club, single nsl over 120.
