Well i Don't do em much, just these may help if ya wanna do it on the spot:

1.) Stand up or shift weight to front of bike.

2.)Hold front brake right in, obviously the clutch aswell if your in a gear.

3.) Then i rev it abit while releasing the clutch fairly quick, while still holding the front brake, and the wheel should start to spin.

On wet ground it should be easiar to get it to start spinning, but you get better effects from dry ground.

Yes im crap at explaining, maybe someone who could make more sense of it.

I say just work on wheelies instead, they are cooler lol.

i'd say thats pretty spot on mate. only thing i would say different is stand up AND shift your weight over the front of the bike....makes it easier to get the back spinning on a dry surface.

now i have to ask why this is in the PHOTOS section?

Doing it on the spot couldn't be any easier. Just pull front brake hard and accelerate... easy!

SLAP

Four candles lads, lets get that clutch stripped Rolling Eyes

Right what you want to do is stand up (feet flat on the floor), lean forward, hold brake very firmly, rev it to about 2 thirds or more of range and DUMP the clutch.

To stop the burnout snap in the clutch.

Any fannying about and you are liable to strip the clutch.

(bitter experience, rolling burnouts accidentally slipping the clutch a) dont work and b) demolish the clutch)

You need to slip the clutch but not alot, dumping it could jerk you off the spot. Its an art, one which I havent mastered. You need to know your own clutch so you can let it out without slipping too long and burning the clutch out.

I was at a photoshoot with a guy from Performance Bikes magazine and he was doing on the spot burnouts on a big CB1300 and he was rocking the bike back and forth in a seesaw motion then giving it one last hefty rock forward to shift the weight and letting the clutch out progressively but quickly.

Seemed to work for him...he practically melted the rear tyre lol

best way i've found is to slip the clutch to get the wheel spinning whilst standing up and putting as much pressure on the front wheel as possible and then when it starts just let the clutch out fully...easy as
