The NS125R is the old steel framed, kick start jobbie, and is what you have judging from that small picture.

In '89 you got the NSR125RK, twin headlights, alloy frame, electric start. In '94 (I think, it might of been '93) it turned into the NSR125RR. Foxeye headlights, new silver frame, 17 inch rear wheel (down from the RK's 18 inch) and new styling.

The years for the import bikes are all messed up, which is why your pre 89 bike may be registered as a '94.

Hi

The model would be an NS125F / NS125R / NSR125F / NSR125R, and a letter following that would just be the model year (hence there is an NS125RK and an NSR125RK). An NSR125RL is virtually the same as the NSR125RK.

Although generally the NSR125 has an electric start there are a few SP versions floating around with a kick start.

The piccy in puremagics avatar is of an NS125R.

The bike Jimpuntoy shows might have landed up as having a 1992 registration but is probably a 1989 bike. Only oddity is that the front mudguard is not stock. Maybe cut down, maybe replaced.

All the best

Keith

Hi

Very similar. Later ones had the more cut down mudguard and wheels with more spokes. Not sure if there are other differences.

All the best
