One big reason I sold LS125R is neck pain caused by racy position.
You don't have neck pain? or am I too frail? Many of you have SS bikes so I wonder.

Alot of it is to do with handlebar position, either too high or too low can cause pain. But being too tense can also be a big factor, try relaxing more while riding. You will have to force yourself to remember to relax at first while riding but it will come naturally eventualy.
Not saying it will stop it, but it helped for me as I always used to ride with my arms straight. If I relaxed them and bent the elbows slightly I found I could do far more miles before the neckache set in. Worth a try. Wink

Do you do allot of fast rideing? (like freeway speeds) or mostly 30/40mph evrywhere? If you do allot of fast (60/70+) rideing it could have been the wind blast?

It could be down to how far you had to reach for the bars, the angle they were at, how the wind hits you at speed.. lots of things.. wind blast is a common achey shoulders/neck cause.

Personally i perfer more upright bikes, sportyest bike i'd have would be a zzr600,vfr800 or similar, tryed sports bikes and though i can see the point, didn't like it at all Shocked

A friend of mine has a zxr400 and we went a bit over 300miles one day, he was totaly exhausted (didn't look well at all!) but have been as far and further since totaly comfortably... So sometimes you get used to it! and sometimes you dont...

Allways get a test ride Wink and make sure you can reach everything without straiing.

I get terrible neck pain, I've got a 2004 ZX6 and after about 45 mins its murder. Mind you, I get it sat in front of the computer too.

Lots of stretching etc... seems to be the only method of relief for me.

Not bad enough to stop me riding the beast tho Mr. Green Mr. Green

I bought W650 with uptype handlebar, it was a little bit too high. So I changed it to mid-bar, then I got better position. I learnt even too high cause pain. Relaxing : I was told same thing in japanese site too.

With LS125, mostly 30-40mph(below 125cc can't go up to highway).
I had worst pain when I was in a traffic jam all day during one day trip. When I speeded 60-70, my upper body was balanced. My mistake was trying to use sporty 125cc for touring in japan.

I found handle bar kit for sports bike like CBR1100XX. Interesting.

Didn't some one ever want flat bar for sports bike?
Or more upright position isn't comfortable at very high speed range??(Wind blast)
