Translation:

I'm thinking of getting a ZX6R in the summer, but I am afraid of being raped by insurers as I am only 18. Has anyone else been in a similar situation and if so how much did you pay?

Thanks,

Matt.

Why are you going fully comp? The extra it costs you won't be worth it if you do bung it.

I was getting £898 without haggling for a ZX6R at 18, TPFT.

I was told not to go for fully comp as its expensive and even if you can afford it, they'll slap on a huge excess for young riders especially on fast bikes Mad

No- because they are proceeding with a claim against a 3rd party, i cant get insured with anyone else until the claim is resolved. It's small print in my contract which i didnt read properly.

Im not fussed. At the moment, they've paid me more than i've paid them. Cool

I've heard of some quotes that are higher for TPF&T than for FC. Makes no sense I know, but true none the same.

Quite possibly for younger riders on a high risk bike. And what you didn't notice was the big excess on the FC ???
