Can anyone tell me the easiest way to check if a Cagiva Mito is restricted? If you have a pic or two even better. Was told theres meant to be a 'banana type' on the exhaust. Cant see anything like that though there was a weird thing with ridges near the bottom of the exhaust. Not sure if thats it or not.

Cheers

You could use a dynomometer or rolling road to test its power output. Alternatively, a restriction to 14.6hp won't allow you to get much past 75 on a dual carriageway, and that is hardly significant speeding.

For a physical check, I'd imagine the most likely places are an inlet washer from the carburettor and a baffle (narrower section) in the exhaust outlet. Does the Mito have a powervalve? Is it restricted in the CDI somehow?

The mito is restricted by a cone at the manifold end of the exhaust (inside the pipe, you'll need to remove it to check) you can drill that out, or you can buy a performance exhaust that is de-restricted as standard. These tend to have a better expansion chamber design giving a great deal more power. There is a more detailed explanation here https://www.125ccsportsbikes.com/forums//index.php?showtopic=20263
i hope this is of help Smile Shocked

Take a look at the airbox. Which is either under the seat or under the tank. On my mates one that was de-restricted they made it a whole lot bigger with what looked like a tupperware box and some bathroom sealant.
