i rang for a quote for my new bike ,and they say i can have an insurance that will cover up to 4 bikes , that is like the old Norwich union Rider policy then .i thought they stoped em cos they were loosing money on them ..
quote was £106 tpft ,,not bad for 2 bikes ,with no claims bonus insurance as well .

How do you mean?

Doesn't sound particularly like it, from what you're saying Thinking

It's not like the old rider policy, they were great, insure yourself for a 100cc bike and ride whatever you wanted to.

Back to the subject, the bike your on is fully comp, the other bikes are covered tpft only on the basis that you can only be on one bike at a time. Thumbs Up

Hi

The Norwich Union rider policy meant you could ride any bike up to capacity limit you had chosen. You did not have to specify the type of bike, registration number, anything. Just that you wanted cover for a (say) 350cc bike or bikes. Nothing to stop you having tpft on one policy for 100 bikes you owned.

The current policies are the ones by Equity Red Star I think which allow you to specify the details of a few other bikes that you will be insured on.

All the best

Keith

They stopped doing them due to a change in (european) law that stated all insurance policies should list all applicable registration details.
