Still got a few more bits to finish of on it to tidy it up a bit more (replace lower fork legs + grab rail), Ive put alot of work into it so far Shocked Would asking 500-600 be a bit of a mick take Question also would including the spare bike raise value or should I sell that seperately ?

Its got slight panel damage to the right panel but nothing a touch up couldnt fix (Ive actually got 2 spare of each panel, but I cant remember the condition of them and they would need painting)

Also those pics are old as it has a speedo cable now and carbs cleaned inside and out. Still need to give it a good clean/polish Cool

was going to offer you £300 the lot.

dunno if I'm being tight, or you're being hopeful.

remember it is a 22 yr old bike, and I have seen 1990 bikes for under £500 and 2001 bikes for a little over £700. (all 125cc)

Probably a bit of both Rolling Eyes Just heart breaking after putting the time and cash into it and getting feck all out other then experiance and overdraft Laughing

work so far:
forks (lower fork legs left to do), fork springs, fork seals, fork oil,
chain + sprocs, carbs, exhaust(s),
panels, seat, grabrail (when it gets done),
clutch cable, speedo cable,
oil, plugs,
clocks, bars,
indicator lenses + stems,

I guess alot of it is standard service work, but has been stripped and well cleaned. It has virtually no rust on frame due to being non-used garaged for a fair few years, I know what these look like when not looked after due to the state of the doner bike (which has done me proud for a few thou miles even with 45k on the clock and still goes, allbe it needing more oil then fuel!) Wink

On another note the guy at local garage seemed impressed, said he has just bought a new one over in pakistan and mine looks damn impressive for its age Very Happy Its nice to have kept it as original as I could.

Anyway enough of my ramble and time to come out of fairy land Embarassed

Im guessing I would want to aim the sale at someone after a nice 125 to just jump on and commute, not someone who could of done the work theirselfs.

that's what I'm looking for..

both for me and the gf. One to commute, one to learn, and with a CB already in my stable, your 'spare' one would definately come in handy.

it's always tough seeing bike go for less than you feel it's worth,. having spent so much time and money on it.. such is life.

it's how I've owned 4 bikes in the last 5 years, and spent a total of £1710 in purchasing them all (don't still have them all tho )

Where are you located? I am looking for a good 125, also at a reasonable price. i will give you £400 for the one, could maybe raise to 500 but would be hard pushed. as only 17 with a 50 for sale. but i have someone interested enough to buy, so could come up with money pretty quick.
As far as transaction goes, with me, meet up, cash in hand.

UBG has it down for £600 for one in good condition.

Might be worth advertising it on classic sites as they are becoming wanted, try classis motorcycle mechanics magazine. Most of them got destroyed as learner bikes and it is one of the best 125 engine's out there to this day. Keep an eye on the big-end though.
