Call every god damn kawasaki a ninja they had a ER-6f at my local dealer and its called a Ninja 650.

When did they stop making these bikes in the uk,,

Ninja 250 2005 model shown

They also do a 600 in those shapes Sick

Now not to mention they label all the ZZR's as ninjas Shocked

Same as they have a habbit of labeling every YZF an r6 etc Confused

The GPZ250 in the UK, Ninja250R in the states and EX250 on the continant was discontinued over here in 1983.

The GPZ500s in the UK, Ninja500R in the states and EX500 on the continant was discontinued over here in late 2003. I had a 2000 model as my last bike:

Indeed, if it sells more bikes as a result of them all being called Ninjas rather than GPZ, ZZR etc, then it looks as though they're not stupid at all, just catering to American tastes and sensibilities. They're different but not all necessarily stupid.

I had a 2003 GPZ500 (Northern Ireland) think it had been unchanged 1994 - 2003 though? I could be wrong.

Pretty much yes. From 1994 when it changed from A to D spec, though to 2002 it remained unchanged. Until 2003 when it got a second disk brake at the front.

On the continent though it had this second disk brake from new right back since 1982 when the GPZ500s first appeared. Why the UK and US markets only had a single disk is a mystery...

That's similiar to what happens when I talk to anyone in Dubai that doesn't know about bikes. Hell it happens in All arab countries. A sport bike = ninja. It can be a Suzuki, Ducati, whatever... it's a ninja Laughing .

knee sliders are usually quite big, so you can see how big he is because those knee sliders look like 2p coins on him.
