So, I found a Thundercat in black, 1998 model that is said to have covered just over 22 000 miles. Only thing is, the decals that are usually on the Thundercat are missing, so I'm believing that this may have had a respray.

I contacted the seller and he says he hasn't had it sprayed and has covered 2300 miles since he bought it in '04. Apart from this it's in good condition (besides a few minor cracks on the fairing by the indicators), but I'm somewhat weary of the possibility of a crash that caused the need for a respray.

Should I avoid?

All bikes crash or get dropped, obviously from the cracked fairing. Just HPI it so you know if it has been written off and have a good look to check for frame damage etc.

Looks pretty tidy.

What's it like under that tank cover, make sure you look at it before you dive in and bid.

Looks cool though Thumbs Up

My ZXR has had a respray, no decals, looks kinda boring after seeing others on here with the race graphics Crying or Very sad

The shitter is that my bike cover is now starting to wear away the paint on the mirrors and grab rail. Might be excuse to convert to original paint scheme Thumbs Up

I bid £1500 without going and looking at a bike, and then £1200 on another one without looking.

If the bike wasn't as described when I got there to collect I'd just refuse to pay for it.
