take off the oil pmump cover , pinch the black rubber pipe et unplug it from the pump , put a bucket underneath and wait until the oil tank is empty (if you open the cap on the tank it will go faster) . when you will be re-filling , in order to avoid any air inside the pipe , open the bleeding bolt on the pump until the oil go out .

Or unbolt the oil tank and up-end it over a bucket?

Just curious as to why you want to do this with the 2 stroke oil?

All the best

Hi

It is 2 stroke oil and is burnt in the engine. It is highly unlikely that the new oil you add will react badly with the existing oil.

All the best

you are not completly right kickstart , it's ok to mix oil with the same composition , and i agree with him also about the age of the oil , any hydrocarbon product lost it's properties with the time . msm on NSR's use only fully synthetic 2 Strokes oil . best are CASTROL TSX (easier to find and cheaper than motul) and MOTUL 600

It won't make a difference. Just add some more and run it through. It's a Honda remember, it'll survive! Wink

Only ones likely to cause a problem are mixing mineral oils and castor based oils, and it is very unlikely the previous owner used castor based oils.

Not really likely over a few years though, and it would be better to just take it easy for 100 miles or so to use it up.

For long term engine life fully synthetics are better, but they will run fine for a hell of a long time on normal 2 stroke oils. Using cheaper oil (especially one that has been used for an unknown time already) is probably a lot less likely to cause problems than the possibility of getting an air bubble in the system from an inexperienced mechanic trying to drain the oil.

All the best

Guys thanks a lot for you feedback and comments, i really apreciate your help, By the way i am using Motul 510 for the Motor oil and Motul transoil for the gearbox, what are you opinions on Motul 510 i know its not full syntetic but i don use the bike to run only to go to work and trips should it be fine the 510?

Thanks

Hi

Afraid I have no knowledge or experience of that oil. Suspect it will be fine, just don't expect the main bearings, etc, to last as long.

But then halving the price of the 2 stroke oil bill over 10000 miles would probably pay for the main bearings.

All the best

Keith

The absolutely easiest way would be just to unclamp the rubber hose from the bottom and stick it in a bucket. Leave until the tank is empty, and then reattach it from where you took it.

Are you mental? Put some washing up liquid on the oil stain, rub it in then bung them through the washing machine. If it is still marked when they come out, use them for 'workshop' clothes or at worst tear them up for rags. You can never have too many workshop rags.

Motoul oil is pretty good quality. If you ask the guys in the shop nicely, I bet they have some of the sexy fully synthetic stuff (610 I think) through the back. It is pretty cheap as fully synth goes.
