I was wondering what the best way to wash the visor on your helmet is because mine has smudges etc on it, and can distract me whilst driving. Also...instead of buying a new and expensive iridium visor for my motorbike, is there some kind of visor decal or something you can buy to give it a coloured reflective look?

Thanks

I purchased a tinted insert for my nitro helmet, (£12) from MPS in coventry, it stops the visor steaming very well. it is just about see through.(from the outside, ie people can just see you)

I also have a tinted iridium visor for my AGV, its crud in the rain, and if a bug hits is, or if a nice car driver sprays washer fluid on you. all you can see is your own face. It's excellent in the sunshine though as I have very light sensitive eyes it allows me to ride without squinting all the time, Thumbs Up always a good thing lol.

To clean, I use washing up water if at home,
or frank thomas visor and helmet cleaner (free with my jacket)
or I 'HA' on it and wipe with a tissue.

my tinted visor was £25, the insert £15

however with the additional visor you can swap visors for dark or light,
the insert you need another clear visor or ride with your visor up OR just use the tint at night, you can still see just about. though this is illegal I believe.
