hello! i'm a bit of a noob to motorbike, road on them when i was a kid around fields, but that's about it..

i've got a Yamaha TW125 on the road recently for going to work etc but the last couple of days i've noticed a sqeak somewhere near the front of the bike, when i go over 30 or 40 mph it seems to go away, but anything around 20 i can easily hear it.. does it sound like something rubbing, or my front disc brake / suspension or? i'm not sure what else i can think of, it's been out in the rain and the cold, but i'm not sure what it could be Sad

any help would be much appreciated Smile

kev.

It is a regular intermittent squeak, or random?

If regular, check rotating parts.
To check if it's the disc brake I would go for a run and try not to use the front brake, then stop and see how hot it has got. Watch you don't burn yourself though.

Also, get a friend to help and lift the front wheel off the ground. Check the wheel isn't loose on the spindle. There should be zero movement in any direction other than rotating.

If a random squeak, it could be suspension, and would sound with road bumps etc.
