My Daytona has turned up early, assuming that it is mine (see Triumph thread below) I will need insurance. I just called Carole gash who I am currently insured with and they do not have it listed, they need to get back to me.

Has anyone else got a quote and if so who from ?

On another note: do you think it's worth holding the bike to the 1st of March so it can be on an 06 plate ? Will the second hand value be higher?

Not sure about insurance but i would hold out for the 06 plate. If you can't wait then don't but if your not fussed wait. I would because im a bit of a tart. Cool

I wouldn't bother with waiting for the 06 plate, unless you really want one. Value is based on the year/registration date and condition as we get two plates a year now.

Do you really want to wait that long to ride it if it is yours?

OK some research for you all

Carole Nash had to refer the bike but could quote for the D 675, however the price was high

Bennetts could not quote

nether could motorcycle direct

Bikesure.co.uk could quote and were the best so far

ebike are shut but I have heard that they can quote! will let you know tomorrow.

When did you put your deposit down?
Try e-bike insurance and getting on teh phone to everyone. My current insurer didnt have it on the computer but made some calls to come back with a (high) quote.

As soon as the supplement came out in Bike mag, I subscribe so I got it a bit early, can't remember the exact date but I think it was September. I was the first to order at my dealers.

Thanks, they are on my list to call in the morning, to be honest I was told by a few to hang on for a week or so as they will have more of an idea then.

i put my deposit down on the 20th of september, couple of days after the artical came out. I shouldnt have to much longer to wate then! I beleave i was the first to order at my dealer too.

e-Bike insurance quoted for me. Good price too.

I believe Triumph Insurance now will quote.

I'd wait for March - (in theory) but the temptation to get it sooner might be too much!

Swinton (via my dealer) has come up best so far, Ebike are a close second, Carole gash told me to come back next week when I have some lower quotes and they will see what they can do.

Going to see it and test ride the demo bike on Sat, will have some after that.
