I have a divvy 600 and its done me fine.
Not the most exciting bike in the world but will get to 125 ish.
I have found mine very comfy on long distances although a larger power bronze screen has helped a lot with that.
They are prone to clutch rattle so don't be put off it this one has some, its just a quirk of the bike.
If it really bothers you I can point you in the direction of instructions of how to stop it (not a simple job though).
As you suspected they are air cooled.
They are also known to get vibration at about 5 or 6K revs, again, quirk of the bike.
If your looking for a commuter/starter bike then I have found mine is just the job.
Check the exhaust is one piece of advice. They the originals are prone to corrosion where the down pipes meet the silencers by the centre stand. I would assume a bike of this age would have had a new one by now. If it hasn't make sure it isn't on its last legs.
Any other questions let me know

Hi
As above. Not an exciting bike to ride, but for doing long motorway journies they are good. Brakes are adequate. Fuel pump on early ones is a vacuum operated effort, and a sick joke. Wiring under the head stock is a bit exposed (didn't cause a problem on mine but a few people have had problems with it). Handling is predictable. Petrol tank could do with being a bit bigger.
The original Yamaha mirrors are not cheap, and cheap aftermarket ones were useless on mine (the Yamaha ones have half a ton of what looks like clay in them to damp out vibration).
All the best
