After a earlier topic about getting points, How long did it take you all to get your first set of points on your license?

I've been on the road for 3 1/2 years and I'm still clean! Is this good going or am I letting the side down?

I've only ever been stopped twice by the police. Once as my break light was out and another as he thought i was too close to the car in front, but I object that one! Long story!

i got mine 8 months from starting, got it coz i woz on the way 2 the ace cafe on the north circular and my back l plate come off coz it woz windy and wet and i didnt have a front one so i got 3 points and a £60 fine

Had a bike licence for about 10 months now and managed to avoid any points in that timeframe; more by luck than design where speed is concerned, it's fair to say.

Got 3 points for speeding in the car (from 2003); I think they run off this year so I can register my full bike licence entitlement and get them deleted at the same time.

I'm guessing that most on this forum are on the younger side.

When I passed my car test back in 1989, I did not know anyone with points, if you got them, you were a realy bad boy.

Saying that there were no cameras back then and our local bobby would let you off most things.

Now my 60 year old mum has em.
