If everyone else did?

No cars whatsoever, just bikers?

Do you think people ride because not many people do? It's an 'individual' and 'unique' pastime?

Would the roads be safer if cars were removed from the equation?

I'd ride no matter what, been brought up on bikes and have virtually no interest in cars whatsoever.

And no, I doubt the roads would be a huge amount safer with just bikes to be honest. Think of all the chav nobheads who would be in shitty Corsa's on Gixxer's and the like.

I'd like to think I still would, and I do love the feeling of being out in the elements (on a nice day).

However, I am a classic Aquarius and I like to be individual and 'to take the road less travelled'. I'd probably end up driving an ex-army personnel carrier (or an ex-Judge Dredd Land Rover, they are really cool!) Very Happy

Cheers, Alfie

As for the Chavs theyd all kill themselves in quick time if cars were banned tomorrow as they dont have the two extra stabilsing wheels. Theyd not wear lids correctly.

So there would be a week or two of carnage, then quiet.

Good question.

I'm going to say no. I think that 2/3 lanes of bikes squeezing onto one road would cause far more hassle. A nice steady stream of cars acts as a nice "calming measure" by taking up most of the road, while also provides things to overtake and be smug towards.

I suppose it'd also be made dangerous by 50/125 riders on their way to work in the mornin getting overtaken by pissed off 600 riders Smile

I ride bikes because I can't afford a car. I wouldn't care if everyone else rode either, I'd still ride as it'd still be fun.

I have an interest in cars, and require a large boot for work, so no. Unless every day's a sunny grippy day.

Tried driving lessons, have a car for offroad abuse, but generally find cars boring, can't be bothered sitting in ques,

however I prefer to be passenger in a car than pillion on a bike.

bike all the way, bit crap having to wear waterproofs that look like I'm wearing binliners when its raining but meh..it's worth it just to hear lower school kids go:

''thats the girl with that fat bike''

Cool Laughing

heh

Yes because they'd be no alternative. Laughing

I ride because I like it. I don't care how many others have bikes. In fact there so many bikers around I don't feel part of an elite anyway. Smile
