Looking for my 1st bike/ 125

hi guys coming upto my 17th birthday now, and im looking for a bike preferably 125cc but i havnt got alot of money, looking to spend about 1000-1500 on it, please, please if you can recomend me a bike and what kind and model i would realy appreciate it, thanks.

depents what your after. if you want a sporty 2stroker go for aprilla rs125, honda nsr 125, cagiva mito 125
if your after reliablity try honda cg125, honda xlr125, suzuki gn125,
there are loads mate. your best bet is to have a look on ebay or in the biketrader and have a look at the 125s and see what you would like the most. then see if you can get a bit of info on one. cheers. jamie
