There is always someome who can do it for cheaper though. Competition is fun.

PS - I only charge in £. not sexual favours.

I can do it for £2/month, for basic hosting.

PM me for details if you're interested. Ask Steve H if you want to know what the service is like. Smile

The only person I've come across who delivers a better service than Suzuki is Fiona 'loose gusset' Trollop who works between the first 3 lamposts in Tuffley Avenue.

She charges more than 2 quid a month though in fact she only does hourly increments.

When you ask both parties for a 'www' you'll get a web address off one and a 'w@nk', 'wash' and 'wefund if not completely satisfied' with the other - I'll leave you to decide which you'd prefer.

https://www.netpaw.com

not the cheapest, but it's a proper hosting "company" that's been trading for 6 years, and has lost only 1 customer in that time.

sometimes it's better to not "get a mate to do it" in the long run.

and I'm a director of Netpaw, so feel free to shout at me if anything goes wrong Very Happy

I always used these guys and never had a problem with them

https://www.dataflame.co.uk/

Seem to be a fair bit cheaper than feef! Wink

I'd go with Suzuki though!

quite possibly..
the hosting market is saturated, and ther's no point in trying to compete on price.

do dataflame answer email support requests directly, at 9pm on a sunday evening tho? or do you get a support ticket that you chase on Monday morning?

subtle differences.

You're not wrong feef. Personally I'm only offering hosting to web design/dev clients these days, there really isn't a single reason to compete on price with larger companies that overload their servers with hundreds of domains and offer crappy support (not that I'm suggesting any of the good BCF folk fall into that category Razz), because 95% of people just look at the £££.

www.34sp.com are very good.

Pretty cheap and I've mailed them at midnight on a Sunday and got answers, also you can just log into their IRC server, ask whatever you want, and you'll get an instant reply. 24/7 instant support.

you're lucky, in that you probably know what you're doing.. but when people's email clients break, or the need general help in setting up t heir website, confguring their daabase, want to add a POP or IMAP account, or change the DNS, then we're pretty much up and about as much as the clients, so can offer relativelty extreme upport hours, and will help outwith our direct contract as much as possible.

in that respect, we keep our customers very happy.
