When taking off wheels on your motorbike and putting them back on do you have to replace the bearings and dust seals each time??

No, but it would be a good idea to clean them up and then grease them before you re-fit them.

Thumbs Up

Edit: Sorry, I dont mean before you re-fit the bearings as you wont be removing them. I mean spindle, spacers etc...

Once i have taken the wheels off i wish to strip them back to bear alluminium, does anyone know of a product on the market i could then use to protect the wheels, such as lacquer, but i have heard this can damage the end finish.

Thanks

Jon

Ihad some car wheels done years ago, soft bead blasted and polished.
I didn't want to compromise the superb gleaming polished ally finish, the company that did the wheels told me the best way to keep up to them was to clean with metal wadding polish, and to protect wheels with BEESWAX.
That way you keep the mirror finish.
