Hey,
Just asking for some advice really, i'm moving from a 50cc Gilera DNA and am looking for a much bigger bike, i'm restricted to 33 bhp but this shouldnt be a problem.
I'v been looking at the suzuki bandit 600S, as i am going to keep this bike for the 2 year restricted period, and then derestrict it at the end, and ride it quite a while afterwards.

What do you think?

Chris

That's exactly what I intend to do, except probably not the Bandit. More looking for either an SV650 or a Thundercat.

Nice one, I've been advised to choose a bike with minimal or no fairing, so if I do happen to drop the bike, it won't leave to much of a dent in my back pocket on repairs etc.

A bandit is a sound choice most say reliable, comfortable and fun to ride.. Safely ofcourse Smile but beware of the extra weight! lol

sv650 is only half faired so u get the benefit of wind protection without side panels to break

fazer and hornet arent faired and some say these are better than the bandit

Yer, thanks for the replies people, very helpful.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what sort of speeds a restricted 600 Bandit or alike, would reach? and whats the acceleration like etc.

Thanks
Chris

Chris,

https://www.sv650.org/ has those kind of details for the SV; I've got no idea how it compares to the others mind you.
