Hi im trying to get the video's off my Sony HandyCam onto my computer. The camera isnt mine its my uncles, but hes asked me if i can edit them on my computer, all hes given me are the cables for the tv, and one USB cable!

Ive connected it to my computer using the USB cable, but its says an error has happened and it wont do anything! I dont how to get the vids off the cam onto my computer?

Is it something to do with the settings on the cam? Or is it my computer?

Probably a good idea to go to the sony website, click "support" or similar, and download the drivers for the exact model number of your camera.

I don't think you can connect via USB, you must mean FireWire.

What model of camera is it?

Sorry i forgot to let you know how i got on,

i went on Sonys website and downloaded the drivers, anyway it didnt work for me Confused Mad But my uncle had a go on his computer and it worked first time Shocked So hes done it instead of me!
