nsr plate restriction and exhaust restriction

does it matter if i didnt bother taking out the restriction on the air intake on the carb, and just derestrict the exhaust?
Coz i know there is a restriction and im pretty sure its in the exhaust nto the air intake, but i tried checking and i wasnt confident enough once i got the air filter out to go any further. woudl it make any problems or anything if i just derestricted the exhast and left the carb restriction?

it's not in the "air" intake , it's in the mixture intake between exit of the carb and engine entry . this limits the volume of the mixture getting in the barrel , you should take that off .(number 3)

im not sure where exactly this restriction is, hwo far and how much do i need to take out?
any pics that show it? coz i have got to the air box and taken it off, and i cant get the plastic tray off that protects the carb and i thought the restrictor was between the air box and the carb?lol

u don't need to take that tray out, pull the bits at the corners nearest the back of the bike outta the round holding joints and angle the whole thing up. This allows access to the carb and then the pipe between the carb and the cylinder. Now, between this pipe and the cylinder is the plate that alain was trying to tell you about.

huh? the pics on nsr.com are what i followed and i had trouble. whatu mean nearest the back of the bike. there is a black tray at under the taken near the front of the biek that protects or is lying above the carb. i cant get this off.

I've just looked at that guide. Standing behind the bike looking into the bay, undo the bolt on the left and the clip on the right and that tray will lift up over and above the carb.
