Cheers. I wonder how different, mechanically, our bikes are. Luckily the regulator/rectifier has recently been replaced by the previous owner. It's got a nice Micron can as well. Thumbs Up What's the top speed? Have you any complaints about yours?

I'm busting to get on it. Bought it on the 20th Jan from a local dealer who still has it as I failed my practical last Mon Middle Finger . Have retest on 13th.

Yours looks nice mate, is it totally standard?

yea i bought mine standard, and have only done some cosmetic things so far, screen trim, indicators, tail tidy etc, but am planning on new chain and sproket, new front disks and a cheap endcan.

top speed on mine is about 165 im led to believe, but i havent been past 130 yet.

im very happy with the bike, and 2 up isnt a problem for it.

eats petrol compared to a 125 though, Sad

but the pure face altering G-Forces during acceleration are worth it lol

Yeah Airpig I have a few friends and know loads of riders and even there new bikes have been dropped at some point.

In america you can hop on a haybusa at 16 and ride it with legaly so you gotta take in to consideration the bikes age so maybe at some point its been droped or binned Thumbs Up

Yup i have a 2000 CBR600FY, replaced the chain and sprockets a week or so ago, going to do discs soon. Just bought a Micron Carbon exhaust for her. I take the misses on the back and did 130 2up, got to 140-150 to scared to check the speedo to confirm 100%. They are good bikes, petrol i get between 110 -140 dependant on style of riding.

94 is pre ram air though, so out of the factory they are only knowing about 90 brake, im sure its less then that now. But you should see an indicated 145-155 ish.

Mine (96 'FT) eventually winds up to 160 (indicated), and ive had it to 150 ish 2 up. Certainly doesnt slouch two up.

And the two problems savage said have happened to me. My reg/rec needed replacing, and my cam chain tensioner is rattling for england.

But they still are VERY sweet bikes.
