Has anyone ever been to a house that has just taken their breath away with no reason why?
Went to visit a friend today in her new flat. Its not huge or posh, just nice. I've sort of been toying with the idea of buying a house, and seeing this has got me looking for jobs in that area. Its insane! Just the flat, the area everything was stoneware I can see myself being.
Anyone else had this? Just felt like upping sticks cus you found the perfect place to live?

Seen a few nice stone houses i'd love to live in.

Pity they all cost a fortune. Sad

I've been looking at buying my first house. It's funny how alot of the smaller, cheaper looking houses have that 'wow factor' more than the big expensive houses. I think it's because I know I can actually afford them and they're more realistic.

I'm looking for somewhere near Bradford University (walking/bus distance) just in case anyone knows of anything.

Rick.

The wow factor is a funny thing.

When I was house hunting, I took my parents along with me for second opinions. I found it interesting that afterwards, my dad commented on one particular property where apparently I just couldn't stop saying wow - I didn't realise I was saying it. I didn't go for that one in the end simply because it didn't have a rear access - for the bikes. I was gutted!

The house I ended up buying had the same effect too, I think it's just that you can imagine yourself living there. It doesn't have to be amazing, just that it feels right.

Yes, hence why we are off to New Zealand when we sell our house.

Yeh everytime i drive past updown court. Cool

I suspect most people would say that about their own homes after all they chose to live in them. Laughing

I don't think I could find any house in Peterborough that would give me the wow factor, because it is in Peterborough Wink
