i don't know about you, but that programme was more about an incredibly competetive dad more than anything.

fast show anyone??

the part where he is castigating his 7 year old son for doing 39 second laps instead of 35 was class.

i think it's great that lads start off early (wish i had), but at that age i was more interested in what was inside my nose than anything else.

they'll be burnt out by nine...you wait.

at least they appreciated a good pair of tits!

I saw a program last night about step family's, the step dad was an arsehole, he didnt give a rats ass about his step son, he was such a good kid too, I felt so sorry for him.

if those mino motos do 70 mph i want a go...well, i tried at brands at the last BSB meet - i was too pissed/stoned and they wouldn't let us.

Alot of dads are like that in racing, from 2 wheels to 4 wheels. I see alot of rich karting dads putting great ammounts of pressure on there young drivers, Screaming at them as they go down the straight because they made a mastake and let some1 passed them.

Fair enough that guy wants to look good couse he ran a mini moto school didnt he? But if he starts putting on to much pressure on the young lads then they will just do stupid moves and have alot more off's.

I think that he was trying to encourage his kids rather than pressure them. I don't think that a bit of pressure is a bad thing anyway as long as the kids are enjoying it.
They obviously were. Whats the problem?

true.

but i think it's a bit full on for him to try and live his life through his kids.

they'll rebel in one way or another eventually and by that time i doubt if, after all that effort, he'll be too chuffed.

just my own opinion of course.

(maybe i'm just jealous!)

although..my old man taught me to windsurf, ski, scuba dive, shoot, and drive.

all handy skills in the middle of soho.!

i wish my dad did more stuff like that with me.

i will try my hardest to get my kind into bikes, gym etc etc.



ive kind of been left on my own on that aspect of childhood.
