Another BMF Campaigner! for those interested in making a difference.

This time we are doing a letter writing campaign regarding the NERC Bill.

What's it about?

The Natural Environment and Rural Communities Bill is currently going through Parliament. Amendments proposed since its introduction in the House of Commons will restrict the land access rights of motorcyclists. Rather than enforce existing law to prevent abuse of access rights the Government chooses to punish the responsible majority. In addition, in a break with traditional British practice, this legislation may be made retrospective, so as to deny existing access claims the right of being duly processed.

This may be considered a stupid question, but where exactly is it that this bill will prevent me from riding ?

It may not affect you personally, Mickey, but what it will do is restrict the rights of motorcyclists and other vehicles from using the rights of way that they are currently allow to use.

It will mostly affect trail riders.
