Have been using Rampdale insurance which is now due ,found they talk the talk but don't walk the walk ,i.e if you have a claim they don't won't to know and ignore letters /phone calls !
So who do you recommend ?

Have 1 year no claim (first year)

thanks Thumbs Up

I recommend 4Counties, not even CIA (who guarantee to beat your renewal quote) could beat them on my renewal, they lost out by about 200 quid.

Even their online quotes are good which is a rarity so ringing them up is best.

Give em a call on 01480 393939, between 9 - 5 or you will get some weird company that ain't 4Counties.

Tried and tested, they are the best in my experience.

Thumbs Up Karma

CIA are good.

And they don't ignore you when you claim either, they were more than helpful in 2002 and even got a solicitor on my behalf without me asking on my legal cover.

To say the least I have been with CIA 5 years this November, and I shan't be leaving them anytime soon.
Only thing I can critiscise about them is their call centre they take bloody ages to answer at peak times.

ebikeinsurance.co.uk

Pretty good prices, plenty of policy choices, and one in particular where you can get an extra year no claims after only 8 months Wink

I would strongly reccommend trying out www.choicequote.co.uk

Their online quick quote is normally pretty close to the final price, and when I was 18 with a new NSR, they were the only insurer under £2k, they only charged me £750.

A Quote seem pretty good for riders with some no claims though, and are easily brought down with a bit of haggling!

I use MCE who set me up with Equity Red Star.

Can't really recommend them as I've not had a claim (yet) so don't know how they will perform.

I used the Autotrader site to get a quote. I'm with Devitt Direct DA, I think it's about £200 fully comp with 2 years NCB for my bike. I'm 28.

I'm with Swinton at the minute, they were the cheapest quote I got but also offered the same as most of the others.

They've just given me a renewal quote that's 50 quid cheaper again, but I haven't rung round yet. It's due at the beginning of next month.

I use ebikeinsurance. Mainly because I can insure both my bikes.
Recently made a claim for £2.5K worth of damage to my SV. No problems.

I always deal with Carole Nash , and I ain't had any trouble . Avoid bennets at all costs though , Tyhe gave me a quote of £450 for my DT125 over the phone , but whne i I phoned the next day to accept it they said it was going to be £1670 Neutral

Needless to say , Carole Nash won with a quote of £412.48 Very Happy

Take Care

I'm back with H&R after a short break with Honda. I used H&R and their legal service for a 3rd party claim and won 100%. Their legal cover solicitors were good and pursued the other party, even in the face of total ineptitude from the other insurer they didn't give up. Thumbs Up from me.
