Posted: 21:11 - 14 Feb 2006 Post subject: Chrome ZX and Performance filter - jet sizes for the carb? |
 |
|
Hello all.
Got my leo vince Chrome ZX now, and got my Performance filter thanks to 125power on here.
The exhaust came with rollers and clutch springs, so theres not a problem there, they will be fitted, however no jet was included.
Now for one, I'm not sure what jet size i have as standard.
Its a 2004 NRG MC3 Liquid Cooled.
And next, what sizes to buy?
I need to block the Air Recirc off, and fit the leo vince, which will need upjetting, and also, i will need another size jet for the air filter.
I want to ideally buy a jet for just the exhaust, and a jet for the exhaust and filter, so that i can run one without the other.
Any ideas? As i hear taffspeedracing has reopened now.
Cheers

My mate had something close to that on his scooter.
I think the jet he used was 120. It drank the petrol and made the bike loud as fuck. Not worth the money he had to spend on petrol afterwards. ____________________ Go back to bed - You have no rights - "Streetfighters ~ Mainstream motorcycling's crackwhore sister." |

A 120 Jet on a 50cc Your Jokeing Right?
U gotta get ur old jet out n check the size, go up by 10%, try it, if its wrong then try other sizes, Or get a shop to do it for about £20 ? ____________________ - Typhoon ?0 - Yamaha DT125R - Aprilia SR125 - Yamaha DT125R - Honda Hornet 600 - |

Hi
Presume it uses a Dellorto carb. If so you can get the jets from Eurocarb (the Dellorto importer). I would go up several sizes and then work down from there.
A 120 jet (Dellorto jet, different carb makers have used different systems for specifying the sizes of the jets) on a 50 sounds very extreme. A 120 is around what is used by an Aprilia RS125 with a 28mm carb.
All the best
