Hi

Found this:-

https://www.click2houston.com/automotive/6781320/detail.html

Seems quite a few US soldiers are coming back wanting an adrenaline fix.

All the best

Having not ridden for month's then jumping back onto your bike and going flat out probably hasnt helped.

I'm also assuming most of those that died would be in their early twenty's, few over 30, which would amplify the "I'm invincible" outlook.

This is similar to the hotroding and high speed generation in the US in the 50's using old aircraft engines. Once you had run the risk of being shot every day for the past two or more years, losing control of a silly car and wiping yourself out while enjoying yourself doesn't seem all that bad.

Assuming it was the speed record series shown on BBC4 and then later on BBC2, I have, twice, as well as the DeLorean one twice. Embarassed

Yep it was the speed record one. I saw it on sky though i think.

One of them got a scrap turbine/jet engine and rebuilt it in his shed.

When testing it in his back garden after fixing it, he blew up his chicken coup with the afterburner.

Fucking nutters. Laughing
