Easy. Just pay attention for the hazard perception, as it can get tricky.

Have a go at the practice ones on the DSA website and buy one of the practice CD's.

Get the CDs ,

Hazard perception and also official theory.

You could pass the theory with 5 car years experience, but there are some biker only stuff in there. (perhaps about 5 of the questions, the rest are high way code).

Personaly why risk it, get on to amazon and get the test, the offical test is exactly the same quesitons as you'll get when you do it for real. Even the pictures are the same.

I'd been driving for 16 years and was useful for me.

The hazard perception is worth being aware of and practicing for, so you know what sort of thing your going to encounter.

I have been doing the bike tests on DSA and 2pass.co.uk, I find 2pass better as it shows you what the correct answer should be if you get one wrong and also a short sentance on why.

Good Luck

Is the hazard perception the same as you get on a car theory?

Very Happy Near enough every library has a copy of the CD ROM and the books... borrow and practise, practise practise! learn the answers off by heart n you'll be fine!
hazard perception... not had to do it so take the advice of the other guys! Wink

its good to click on anything thats looks dangerous on the HP, the first time i did it i tried to be clever and only click once or twice per clip.Fucked it right up !
Second time clicked everytime anything remotely hazardous appeared and got a good score.
Just dont click, click, click all the way through. It knows your cheating.

Had mine on the 10th, used websites (this one updates daily, https://www.2pass.co.uk/) and some programs that i downloaded. Working with these a few hours a night got me throught easily.

If you can understand how the hazard perception works, its easy.

Just watch the dvd they send you as that explains everything.

Nick

I passed mine today Laughing Not too difficult, i didn't do any revision. But i did my car theory a few eeks ago so i knew what to expect. If you've been on the road that long already you should know most stuff. The rests just common sense.

Don't get too stressed about it all...thats probably what may make you fail.

It's mostly common sense all the way and a car driver with experience can probably answer all the questions easily, it's when you over think that you may get them wrong.

It's a good idea to look at the highway code and refresh your memory and do some of the practice stuff. Theres a theory test and hazard perception available from many shops for the PC, most supermarkets will have it.

Don't get bogged down in trying too hard...common sense is best.

Hazard perception can be tricky as it's aimed at new drivers so experience can kinda count against you because it is so basic. Get practising on it and you'll be fine. I actually found that teh real DSA hazard perception was easier than the practice ones so if you can get these cracked you'll be fine.
