Hey everyone,

I went out to the San Diego sx. A friend of mine, actually he's more of an acquaintence, crashed really hard Saturday night in the 2nd qualifying heat of the 250 class race. They had to black flag the race and stop everything for 20 minutes while they worked on James Marshall. I saw James coming out of turn 4, approaching the whoops section headed for turn 5, where there was a step up last whoop all the riders would hit and seat bounce up into turn 5, which was a tabletop type turn.

James clipped the last whoop before the step up turn and hit "neutral" and endoed really hard into the face of the step up turn. I was sitting right where he crashed. As he layed there motionless the whole time I was thinking and praying for this kid. It turns out he broke his neck, I believe c2,c4,and c5 not to mention a broken pelvis as well! At this time he has no feeling from his neck down, and we are waiting to see when the swelling goes down in the vertebra area of his spinal chord, if he will regain feeling in his arms and legs. AS MUCH AS I LOVE SX, THESE KIND OF THINGS, YOU ARE JUST NEVER PREPARED FOR, even when you know it can happen.

I am asking for everyone who reads this post, to please, please, please pray for a miracle healing and that although the Lords will be done, that James will walk away from this accident in a full and complete recovery.

Most of us on here love to ride real bikes, not to mention, also love to play this video game, but we also all know that we can fall any given time and the same thing can happen to any of us. So having said that, please keep our brother James Marshall, in your prayers and thoughts!!!
