Did anyone watch it last night...I seen the start of it before going out to train and I wanted to see it all. Can anyone recap on what happened?

Cheers
Craig

Basically...

Staff not given enough time to turn the plan around from landing to departure. Missing safety checks, sick not being cleaned up, bins taking ages to get emptied, inflatable chute not showing as working.

Pretty much.

Still its cheap!

Must make sure I avoid seat 1A this year too...

Whether Boeing and/or Ryanair claim it wasn't true or not... Shocked

The planes that the programme claimed that had the problem with 1A aren't even in service anymore, so you're safe!

It was utter tripe anyway, there's no such problem.

Having travelled with Ryanair many times, I would say that most of what was portrayed on "Dispatches" was probably true. Confused
That said, they are cheap, and you can't have it both ways, cheap seat and first class service - it just doesn't work that way.
We as bikers are presumably not overly anal retentive about safety matters, and personally, I'd much rather be spending my hard earned wages on beer, food and hotel rooms, than blowing it on a cleaner/more comfortable seat. I just want to get there for as little as possible....

For example, £35 return to Southern Spain (inc. Tax) last Oct - another weekend on the piss in Seville for me and some mates. Thumbs Up

I watched it and so bloody what?

I've travelled with Ryanair loads of times and will continue to do so, I payed £1.99 to travel to Dublin last year and £4.99 to get back without taxes, now I'd rather pay that then the £90 return Aer Lingus were asking, even though I do get a dirty plane with Ryanair.

Although one tip I will give you is fly with them on the earliest flight of the day, nice clean plane then which has been fully checked and not skimped upon due to limited turnaround Wink.

Infact looking at Aer Lingus' site it seems they are matching Ryan Air's prices £6 return to dublin on my birthday in June, looks like I will be flying with them this year. Very Happy

Ryan Air may have the nastiest, smelliest, untidiest planes in the world, but their safety records speak for themselves - not 1 crash ever, surely thats the main thing! lol!

I think the chances of Ryan Air having a major incident is fairly low, but if there was an emergency I think the crews response would much worse than other European airlines.

id be more worried about poor hyigene at my local curry house than whether a stewardess is capble of serving drinks or directing passengers in the unlikely event of an emergency

If you are going to Ireland, go with Aer Lingus, you can still get cheap flights with them.

Ryan Air is cheap and in my opinion are often delayed.

I once had to get to Ireland the same day very quickly, I booked a last minute flight ie £300 (work were paying). Got to the airport the plane had broken down mid flight and had to turn back.

2 days later my colleague had the same thing.

I wouldn't use them, if I had another choice. Ohh I hate not having an allocated seat.

On Aer Lingus ask for 13f, its by the exit and has the most leg room.
I've been offered this seat before saying we like to put someone there who could open the exit if need be.

I travel with Ryan Air about 6 times a year and have never had a problem with delays or dirty planes. I do tend to travel early so probably get first flights. I go for cheap weekends in Dublin and barcelona. Without their prices I couldnt afford to go so often so I will continue to take the risk.
