Hey david, i couldnt find the original post, and i couldnt remember your username
Any ways missed staturdays, so i posted today if you do not receive by wednesday let me know.......
Also i couldnt find another jubilee clip, so there is only one included, sorry.
When you come to fit, simply change the jet fit exhaust rollers and clutch springs fit the filter last and what you will most likely need to do is to put another jubilee clip around the bend in the tube (you will see when you get the filter). Using this second jubilee clip tighten it until your bike runs properly. By tightening it around the curve on the tube you are making it narrower and restricting the flow. The tighter this second jubilee clip is the richer the bike runs, And as you loosen it off your bike will run leaner.
This is quite an unorthodox procedure but i can guarantee it will regulate the air flow effectively enough for to get the perfect setup! ____________________ My eBay Items |

Alright mate.
I didn't see this post, till now, when i was looking for the original to thank you!
Got the filter today - Cheers
So what you think? upjet the carb for the exhaust, and then clamp the pipe on the filter to reduce the air flow to save further upjetting?
Also i obviously don't want the bike running lean so it would be ideal to do this and clamp it to make it run richer.
Will let you know how it goes friday, When the whole lot should be fitted at once.
Thanks again
David |

Because he'd have to go up around 6-8 jet sizes to get it running decently, and this has two effects.
1) scrans petrol liek it's free
2) seriously doubt his scooter can burn that much petrol in one go ____________________ My eBay Items |

If he fits it as above he can increase jet size to a more suitable amount for his bike, rather than paying for a filter that is specificly for his bike........... ____________________ My eBay Items |

it appears not......i guess you would say there's no point.......but he will able to get more power and a nicer sound, so i agree with him and say there is a point. ____________________ My eBay Items |

it will pull more than the airbox mate, it just pull's too much to be left fully unrestricted...how far you think hes gunna restrict it like? ____________________ My eBay Items |

Yes I know exactly what it will do, I'm a mechanic who can use things like EGA's. Can you?
As to how much it will restrict the bike that will depend on how tight the jubilee clip is but if it's not tight enough he will seize his engine unless he rejets. If he sets the filter to work with the jets that are in the carb he will have overall less power as he has no airbox.
As to the 'we shall see remark' if he thinks he has more power it will probably be due to having no midrange left. |

No i cant use EGA's but i did this to my scooter when i had it and it enabled me to use a larger jet, that was too rich for use with the airbox, so i gained power.......mostly low-end but gained some high end too, mid-range didnt seem to be affected. ____________________ My eBay Items |

OKay, so my why did my scooter accelerate faster and do wheelies easier.....'cos i lost power? I know up-sizing your jets dont always mean power, that is why he is restricting that one because other wise he would need a huge jet to run it.
And oh yea nearly forgot...........HE ASKED ABOUT THE FILTERS SO I SAID HE COULD HAVE ONE, WHERE DID ANY ONE SAY I SOLD IT TO HIM?
*EDIT* I didnt mean that to sound as sarcastic as it does....... ____________________ My eBay Items |

So you've fitted a free flow filter then restricted it to suit the bike? ____________________ My eBay Items |

Okay, in my experience (5 bikes i have done this to) they make about as much difference as an air filter and jet kit does for any other bike, in summer they may require loosening the jubilee 2-3 turn, but have other wise been fine all been reliable as they were without them. ____________________ My eBay Items |
