Right, I'm at the stage of hitting the buy me button but getting Confused

Specs and reviews really rate em', but im from a Microsoft back ground. Also this is replacing my Desktop as my sister is having it for her apartment.

I need some more confidence in my spenditure (sp?) Thumbs Up

I wouldn't mind a mac but they are pretty expensive (£700 min for a laptop) and i have never used one before so wouldn't really be worth it.

I've been using them at work, and I've grown to quite like them, got everything I need, only problem for me is the lack of decent games. Although I've got a PS2 for that reason.

Another problem is that you have to pay for every decent piece of software you use. Limited freeware and pirated stuff.

Not that im condoning the use of Macs or Piracy or any disgusting combination of the 2 - on USENET there is a fairly thriving mac warez community. Most of the major apps are cracked and availible.
