Some piece of shit malware has found its way onto my pc.. now this pc isn't connected to the internet, its been on there 3 times probably.. its a ps1 emulator and dvd player, pretty much all its used for..

Whatever it is gives the message "ACCESS TO SPECIFIED DEVICE, PATH, OR FILE IS DENIED" So somehting is trying to access something thats not there.. this message will sometimes not come up at all, and other times every 5/10/20 seconds, one on another..

Its got anti virus (no results) firewall and has had hijack this ran on it, nothing sus on there..

So what the hell is going on? anyone had this themselfs?

Or maybe go to Start ---> Run and type Msconfig. Maybe there's something in the startup list causing it?

Well interestingly, it was doing similar again AFTER a reformat, turns out it was the dvd rom drive! for whatever reason it was picking up a phantom disc and not being able to deal with it..

At least i didn't loose 2memory cards worth of ps1 games for nothing Rolling Eyes
