I thought it was less than 10 miles from Bloxwich to Cannock? Anyway should be fine since your unlikely to be constantly riding at 50. Just make sure the engine and fuel oil are ok before you ride off.

dont unduly worry, just vary the speed a bit, and dont rag the berries out of it. A few quick blats up to high rpm are good for running in, but give it at least afew hundred miles before really pushing the motor. It will feel very 'tight' and will loosen noticably as it runs in.

Great piece of advice, I had to get the top end of my first bike rebuilt and had to run it in, I was very nervous as I was told to be gentle with it for the first few hundred miles.

Buy following the advice above it worked fine, Although about a month later the bottom end went Sad Haha.

But yeah be gentle and for a while and it will be just fine.

i think it should be ok but dont just hold it at 50 i.e working the engine drop down in speeds every so often and dont just give it full pelt to 50 increase your speed slowly bar that it should be ok you may need to do this for some time tho untill the bed in propperly Thumbs Up

lots ov people make this mistake if you keep the bike at a steady speed yes you will run it in but the performance wont be all that, the best way to run any bike in is to ride as normal but no harsh acceleration and dont go over about 45mph, but do give it a short blast off lights you should imagine rolling the throotle on untill about 7.500 rpm and then rolling off the throttle back to a steady speed works every time. P.S I AINT NO BEGINNER I'M ONLY 18 BUT IV'E RACED MOTORCROSS BIKES SINCE I WAS 5 YEARS OLD AND BEEN STRIPPING MY ENGINE AFTER A RACE SINCE I WAS 9 YEARS OLD CHANGING CRANK BEARINGS AND CROSS CUT GEARBOXES. IM NOT THE BEST BUT I KNOW WOT IM ON WITH.
