Overall probably about the same, i remember seeing in a mag (sorry) the 03 zx6r is as quick as a 03 gsxr100 or something.

My mate had one and fuck me was it quick, i could keep up ok (2002 zx6r) but that thing fucking flew, i think they can just touch 170 where as i think silver had 175 out of his 750, not sure on the model though. Thumbs Up

Like the Pirelli adverts keep harking on about, it's not about power it's how/if you can use it.

More rider I would say, although times move on. I went to an '03 ZX636 from a ZXR750 and the smaller bike was loads quicker. Just goes to show how technology progresses!

BUT (and I know it's a lot newer than yours) it would be no match for my current '03 GSX-R750. I was blown away when I first rode it.

I had a 2005 ZX636R. It was a fucking rocket, and cornered REALLY well.

I had heard it had the same acceleration of a 6 year old litre bike, but in the real world, it comes down to the skill of the rider.

A well ridden ZX636R would easily out perform a poorly ridden Blade of any year.

If they exist, we will all be riding 'sneaky' 600's that actually have 636, 650, 675 CC's, or so seems to be the current trend Laughing

The only way you can compare two bikes is to ride them yourself back to back really, anything over 400cc (ish) on the road is all down to the rider, end of, no argument.

Does it matter? Confused

Unless I plan on racing I can't see how one bike with 100bhp would be any worse than the next bike with 110bhp Thumbs Up

Any 600 is more than enough for me on the road Thumbs Up Smile

Obviously it doesn't really matter if you're just riding a to b, I'm glad i went for the 750 over the 600, even the 750 doesn't feel like a handful anymore, obviously its more than enough to destroy you if you're a twat with it but i know what i can and cant do, but i must learn wheelies

What kinda revs & speed am i aiming for? I'm assuming 2nd gear

There isn't a set amount of revs or speed, just try different combinations.
Try 3rd gear to start with if your not too confident, then move down to 2nd if it's not doing a thing.
