I was outbid on ebay for fairings for my NSR. I've been given a second chance offer, however, but I don't know whether to go for it or not. I need new fairing panels before I can sell the NSR for any decent amount of money. The bike has probably been devalued by about £500 because of the state of the fairings. I already have a mint L/H tail fairing for it, but these are a different colour and not mint. However, there are three panels for £100 and £15 postage. If I got the panels separately, I'd be looking at £30-£40 each plus £15 postage each, so I could save myself a fair amount.

There doesn't look there's too much damage - just a few scrapes. Is it worth £100 to help restore my NSR to a resellable condition?

Upper left and right fairings @ £46 each

The lower fairing is about £60

The louvres (silver grilles) are £45

Middle headlight panel is £50

Tubes are £30-ish (don't have an exact price, that's what I was quoted for mine)

Going by the invoice for my insurance repairs after my first off.. they seem quite cheap, really Thumbs Up

Or do what I did this time and repair your old ones, won't look 100% mint unless you're very patient and skilled, but mine look better than they did before Laughing

HTH,
Jon

Well I was quoted over £600 at David Silver Spares for all fairings and tank. No way I'm spending money like that. It's only to sell it after all. A few scrapes are OK on a 125, aren't they? You'd come to expect it really. I can always resell the rear fairing I have in blue, people always want NSR fairings on ebay. I just think it's a good deal to save on postage alone, but I was looking for the best panels I could find, given that I'm not looking to sell in a hurry.

I already did a repair job, that's why they are so bad Laughing

The tank is a discontinued item, Honda can't supply them any more, so if david silver can he's either got very good "sources" or they're backstock!

If I keep my NSR I might have the rear fairing off you if you get rid, always wanted a blue tail unit instead of the white one Smile

Got the estimate sheet sat here now so I'll type it up for you.

They went to someone else anyway. What's the point in that? Surely the next highest bidder should have first refusal? Seems backwards to me. Still, I did only out bid the next guy by 1p Wink
