Alright all,

Just bought a GSXR600 K2 on a Belgium plate, and I have NO IDEA on registering it on a UK plate... Any help?

Also since I have no clue on the above, I may need a K2 frame, with V5 and NOT RECORDED in any way, any ideas on where to find one?

Cheers,

Diehard Thumbs Up

Easy enough providing you've got all the importation documentation, have a look at the DVLA site, start here

Would it not have been easier finding out what to do BEFORE buying the bike ?

There's always a clever one... I got the bike extreamly cheap, I have researched how to do it, and I was wondering if anyone on here had done it before... A little help is always nice Wink (as you have to get it MOT'd and insured BEFORE they issue a V5, how the hell you do that with a foriegn bike)?

Also I would much rather get a UK frame as I'm gonna powder coat it anyway and it would be handy to have 2 for the time being...

And... Before anyone says, it ain't nicked, crashed or bashed, I have all the docs.

Cheers for the link btw Bezzer Thumbs Up

You have to get it MOT'd yes and it's identified by the VIN number you don't need a reg number for an MOT. You don't have to have insurance. Needs taking for an MOT in a van or trailer and take it from there, local DVLA office may want to see it or may not depends on how well/much info you supply for the registration.
