Police are investigating a spectacular crash on a coastal highway that destroyed a rare Ferrari Enzo estimated to be worth more than $1 million (£570,000). The red Ferrari had reached at least 100mph (160km/h) when the driver lost control and struck a power pole on the Pacific Coast Highway. The car — one of only 400 made — shattered, with its engine resting on the highway and its wreckage scattered. Stefan Ericksson, 44, the owner, suffered a cut lip. (AP)

Not many people can say they own a Ferrari Enzo. Even fewer could say they've written one off!

I bet it looked spectacular, the carbon fiber must have shattered like glass.

You cannot buy an Enzo, Ferrari contact you personally, and invite you to make a purchace. There is a set criteria to qualify. This guy, if he owned it, would have been asked by Ferrari to buy one!

I think Mr Ferrari may be making a phone call!

There is a black one near where i live, i think i've also seen one in red with white stripes down it, although it may not be an enzo didn't get a good butchers as he was goin for it. Laughing
