NTL have kindly put me onto 2meg broadband and started charging me £24.99 a month !
I have been paying £17.99 for the last year.
Of course i cant communicate by email so i have to ring the customer care line.Which has at least a 15 minute queue.

NTL upgraded me to 10mb broadband, from 3mb, for no extra charge last year. You won't hear me say a bad word about their cable modems. I wouldn't want to touch broadband over a phone line ever again.

The customer care line is funny. Confuse the operator with questions and they'll put you through to their supervisor, who'll give you free stuff, cancel charges, etc. I'm not kidding.

I can better that - a customer of mine had their broadband cancelled by AOL but they continued to take the money for it!

I know - shouldn't have used AOL in the first place, but nothing to do with me! Laughing

I cancelled my ntl last august and despite sending me 2 letters confirming the account is closed they still sent me a bill & threatened to take me to court in january. I can still log in and my phone bill is still open...They are the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life.

AOL is THE worst isp on earth. NTL have never been a problem to me. I have 2meg broadband and am perfectly happy. their tv however is shite, slow and generally worthless. We now have sky. much, MUCH better.

To be honest I can't say I have sympathy for customers on NTL. They are renowned for their awful service. Why people are still signing up to them is completley beyond me. Confused

I like NTL, never had a major problem yet only times I have had a fault it was sorted that same day with an engineer visit.

Now you can't get better than that IMO!

I like NTL too. TV is OK, don't really bother with the phone, internet is fine too and if there is a problem with the broadband tech support are very patient and helpful.

The only time I've really had a problem was when my cat blew up the box by pissing on it! I was fully expecting to be charged for a new one but they replaced it for free cos they said it had made the day of the entire CS call centre when I owned up about what had happened!

Try calling their technical support line and ask them anything remotely technical and you'll see why. One guy I spoke to didn't even know what PPPoA/E was Shocked

I've got customers who are locked in a 12 month contract with AOL who are not recieving a broadband signal; AOL say that they are and so will not cancel the contract Mad

That's with a computer engineer telling them this, so what chance does Joe Bloggs have? Confused

My friend uses them for everything, has the premium everything and calls america alot so his bill with ntl is always high. When he gets a problem they sort it out quick and give him free stuff. Laughing

We use BT for everything and they are poo, our line keeps cutting out and also to phone them be prepared to be put on hold for at least an hour and speak to an indian call centre. Thumbs Down

We used to have NTL Digital TV, but got rid of it after a number of problems. We moved to Sky which has worked out better and cheaper.

We kept NTL Broadband, we were on the lowest bandwidth, which automatically upgraded to 1MB last year. So far so good with this part of their service.
