right i am not too sure what is going on, the bike was running fine yesterday, today haven't started it up as wanted to check valve clearances, i did that, now i have put the bike back together there is no power at all! when i turn the ignition on there is no neutral light, no fuel pump engaging, i have checked the battery and its a healthy 12 volts, all the fuses are intact, and as far as i can tell nothing that i have done today would cause a electrical problem, has anyone got any ideas about whats going on, could any of the work i have done to day (removed tank, airbox, carbs, valve cover) cause any electrical problems?
going to do some fault finding now but would gladly like so input

Chances are its just a multi block has been disturbed or isn't siting it 100% right (so if the neutral light and fuel pump share a common -ground anywhere maybe thats it?)

Personally i'd take all the connectors off and give them a blast with contact cleaner and a wire brush, refit and try again Wink

Have you got a wiring diagram you can post up?

Hi

Is there an extra fuse on the starter relay?

Can you trace through with a multimeter to find where the power ceases to be?

All the best

Keith

found it! it was the mains connector to the ignition barrel and was in a very corroded state! i must have given it a bit of knock when i took the valve cover off!, so glad that it happened at home and not on the road, as had tp take the tank and airbox off to find it!
cheers guys! Thumbs Up
