Recently bought a Aprilia Rs 125 1996 reg. Had done 400 or so miles no probs but on 2nd last journey began having difficulty finding 2 to 6 gear and on stopping at a junction could only find 1st hence its last journey was on the back of a trailer. Totally mechanically inept so any ideas folks? Cheers

Is the chain too tight?

there should be 3-4 cm of movement at the tightest spot on the lower run of the chain.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
